At least for now. BYU made it to the Sweet Sixteen. I have nothing huge due this week. My choir is performing at devotional tomorrow. (Come if you are in Provo and if not, watch it on BYUtv at 11 MST tomorrow morning.) My friend Nicole is coming all the way from California to visit me! Baseball (BYU) has its first home game this weekend. And my family is coming to visit next weekend! Life is simply great right now. List time.
1. The second annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend California trip was a success this year. Fun was had by all. On the way home, we decided to make stops along the way if we saw something fun to do. Our first stop was made shortly after leaving San Juan Capistrano. We saw the Ferris wheel at the Irvine Spectrum off the freeway and decided to go on it. Quite the experience. Unlike any other Ferris wheel you have ever been on. So that was a bit of an exaggeration, but it was still fun. :) Tangent: In case you were wondering, Ferris wheels are named after George Washington Gale Ferris, Jr. who designed and constructed a wheel for the 1893 World's Columbian Exchange in Chicago. End of tangent. We also ended up stopping at the outlets in Barstow. Now I know why my parents have never let us stop there before. There are SO many good deals. It's quite hard not to spend money. Let's just say it's a good thing I have a job.
2. Banana Republic Factory Store. Best store ever.
3. Having a job is great except for I often use it to justify my shopping, which is not good.
4. Upon my arrival back in Provo, I ended up staying up until about 3 a.m. waiting for my stuff which was in another car. Long story. Anyway, because I had work at 7 a.m. the next morning, I was quite tired the next night. In fact I was so delirious, I didn't even recognize James Anderson's name. Let me explain. If you can't tell, I love BYU basketball. A lot. I have their team poster on my wall. That night of delirium, my roommate was looking at the poster and commenting on James Anderson, a bench player on BYU's team. Now of course he doesn't get a lot of playing time, but I am still quite familiar with him and his name. However, because of my delirium, the name James Anderson sounded so unfamiliar to me. I couldn't believe there was a player on the team with that name. And this is how you know when Bridget is tired.
5. Singing spirituals is close to the best thing ever. We are singing three of them at our concert in a little less than two weeks. They make me SO happy. Just ask my folder partner. :) Thus, you should come to my concert on April 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the DeJong Concert Hall at BYU. I advise you to get your tickets soon though, because they are almost gone. It's gonna be good.
Alright, class time. Note: TGFF. I mentioned this in a previous post. Yes, I know that it is normally TGIF. I failed to explain that TGFF was a new phrase we coined probably at a basketball game. Sorry for the confusion. Have the best day ever. :)

Above and beyond.
So I just finished editing my Joseph Smith paper with about 3 hours to spare before it's due. And I ended up writing more than the minimum requirement and used more than the minimum number of sources. Crazy. Don't expect that to happen again any time soon. There's just so much good stuff on Joseph Smith! It's hard to not write a lot. In celebration of the completion of that paper and in the spirit of procrastination for another writing assignment that is due tomorrow, I am now going to blog. Ha.
1. PB&Js. Delicious. I probably ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch for at least 50% of my K-12 school career. My dad's PB&Js cannot be beat. However, even now when I manage to make one for myself, I realize how good they really are. And I'm not even close to making them as good as my dad's. I usually end up with too much peanut butter and not enough jelly. In honor of this simply delicious sandwich, here are a few facts from dear old Wikipedia:
2. Utah bread. Utah has the BEST bread. Yes, this could be due to the fact that we end up buying cheap bread in California. However, my Grandma Ostler who lives in Utah always has the best bread. Luckily she has converted me to buying delicious, seemingly home-baked bread from the grocery store.
3. One Monday a few weeks ago, I grabbed the Daily Universe (as I do every day) and looked at the top story on the front cover. Because it was the first Daily Universe since a basketball victory the previous Saturday, the top story was about basketball. The headline was something about Charles Abouo having a great game, yet the picture accompanying the article was still of Jimmer. Good one.
4. I'm currently taking an Introductory Astronomy class. A component of this class was being able to identify a list of prominent constellations, stars, etc. I did in fact pass the quiz. The only problem is now when I walk home when it's dark, I can't help staring at the sky and trying to identify the stars and constellations I learned. This is very dangerous considering it means that I fail to look where I'm going. The other night I almost ran right into this girl running in the opposite direction. It could have been bad.
5. If you ever want to take two religion classes at the same time, take Doctrine and Teachings of Joseph Smith and one of the halves of Doctrine and Covenants. They complement each other so nicely. Questions in one class are answered in another. It's great.
Five is far more than enough. See ya.

- In Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, they are called peanut butter and jam sandwiches
- Sometimes people eat PB&Js open-faced. (Strange.)
- A 2002 survey showed the average American will have eaten 1,500 of these sandwiches before graduating from high school.

A little out of order.
So that Jimmer post was a little out of order. Meaning: I still have tons of stuff to blog about that happened before his 52 point insanity. However, some things are just a little more important. :) I have class in 9 minutes. We'll see how far I get.
1. TGFF. I honestly can't remember exactly what this meant. But I'm thinking it was "Thank goodness for Fredette." Ha.
2. "Whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln.
3. I was at a Valentine's Day fondue party. It happened to be on a game day so of course I was still wearing my Jimmer shirt. One might think that it is a little strange to wear a Jimmer shirt to a Valentine's Day party. But really, it's not. In fact, it's quite logical considering the fact that my love for Jimmer is undying. Ha. :)
4. Because Jimmer is a national phenomenon, BYU made t-shirts that look like his jersey. Nike also decided to make shirts. So, they made t-shirts that look the exact same as the BYU ones except for they included a Nike swoosh and small American flag. Obviously these two minute changes are enough to warrant the $14 price difference.
5. The Brocks. They are a band. They are really great. You should listen to them. My friend, Andy, is the drummer.
Class time. Peace.

James Taft Fredette
More commonly known as JIMMER. He scored 52 POINTS last night against NEW MEXICO. And only one of those points came from the only free throw he shot all night. No one scores 52 points in a game. Kemba Walker (another POY candidate) scored 31 last night. That's nice. Except for Jimmer had 33 in the first half.
Let's take a look of the records Jimmer set last night.
Let's take a look of the records Jimmer set last night.
- He beat his own record for most point scored in a half by a BYU player.
- He broke his own record for most points scored in a game by a BYU player.
- He broke his own record for most point scored in a Mountain West tournament game.
- And of course he is still holds the all-time scoring record in the Mountain West Conference.
- And last but not least, he broke Danny Ainge's BYU all-time scoring record. Jimmer Fredette has scored more points than anyone that ever played at BYU.
Insanity.
Since I know you are dying to see more, here's a video that talks all about it.
And would a post be complete without pictures. Nope. So here they are.
