In case you wondered what I was up to last July...
This was the Fourth of July. After spending the day with Brad's extended family, we drove out to El Segundo for fireworks. The fireworks themselves were pretty great...the music...pretty lame. There's nothing better than fireworks set to patriotic music, but for whatever reason that year's show was set to songs that did mention America, but were not your classic patriotic songs. I was okay with it until Miley Cyrus's "Party in the USA" played for the second time.
Then we took engagements.
Isn't he precious?
This was on the way to a Dodger game with the whole fam. We decided to test out the Dodger buses that take you directly to the stadium for free if you have a ticket.
Classic cute Jim picture on the bus.
Then Nicholas gave his farewell talk before leaving on his mission to Argentina! I think he's pretty cool.
And then I had to take a picture with Brad.
And then one day we went to Chipotle and they made Brad this gigantic burrito. This picture doesn't do it justice. But for whatever reason, his burrito was even bigger than normal. The people behind us in line were cracking up watching the employee trying to roll it into a burrito. Brad could feel the effects of it for days.
So before just recently, I had never seen a Star Wars movie. They never seemed that appealing to be quite honest. But Brad LOVES Star Wars. He was excited for the newest episode to come out at the end of last year. He went by himself to see it once it came out. Then he insisted on me watching all of them. So that's what we did...watched one episode every weekend. They were okay. Still not sure why people are obsessed. But after I watched the first six episodes, Brad took me to see the newest one. I'll admit...it was pretty good. Probably my favorite. (My other favorites are Episode 6 because of the ewoks and Episode 1 because of adorable baby Anakin.) Anyway, in the spirit of Star Wars...here's a precious video of a very young Star Wars fan reacting to the opening scenes of the newest movie. FYI...I was nowhere near this excited.
So...Kanye West and Kim Kardashian had their second baby last year. They named him Saint West. Their first child (a girl) is named North West. This is a hilarious video of people reacting to fake names for Saint West. I honestly don't care what Kanye and Kim name their children. But if you must know my opinion of the name, here it is: I honestly don't think Saint is that crazy of a name...to me it's way more normal than North. However, I'm not really a fan Saint with the last name West. Too many names ending in Ts. Anyway, watch the video. It's pretty hilarious.
CHRISTMAS! We're still more than 9 months away from the holiday of holidays, but here's a precious video of some brothers getting an early Christmas present. Enjoy.
So Thanksgiving is obviously in November...but we're supposed to be thankful all year long. So here is a video to remind you of some things you can be thankful for if you're having trouble thinking of your own list. Plus it's pretty cute and funny.
And because June comes after May...enjoy these pictures.
Unfortunately I do not remember why this picture was taken...but it was. Anyone else miss Nick?
So...my companion Marissa came to visit to go to Disneyland. But before we left, we had to make a stop at Randy's Donuts. I believe it was National Donut Day.
2015 was a year of graduations for the Ostler family. I graduated from college (technically it was December of 2014, but I walked in 2015), Nick graduated from high school, Becca graduated from middle school, and Leah graduated from elementary school. Impressive...eh? Anyway, this was taken after Becca's graduation and a few hours before Nick's.
This was taken after Nick's graduation. I love Brad.
Then one day my grandparents, mom, and I (and probably Jim) went to the Adamson house in Malibu. It's a super cool old house owned by the Adamson family who owned a tile factory at one point. And that means there's super cool tile all over the place. I loved it. I highly recommend it.
Every now and then there are credits after the news at 11AM. And this is proof that I worked at ABC7.
Another day, we went to the Science Center with practically the entire family (except Nick and Justin I believe) and our grandparents! We went to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. And then we wandered around the gardens outside a little after.
And what's a post without an adorable picture of Jim. This was taken the same day as the one before.
And then we went to Disneyland with Brent and Trisha. This is in front of my favorite wall at Disneyland. Can you tell that I love tile?
So I hate spending money on food at Disneyland because it seems so overpriced. However, I will gladly buy treats at the Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop. It is so good. This is some type of cookie sundae and it was worth every penny.
Then one day I went with Nick and his friend Alex to the temple. Hooray for temple buddies.
April 2015 was a GREAT month. And that's an understatement. The following pictures explain why.
I went back down to California and got to hang out with my sibs.
And since Jimmy wasn't smiling in the last one, I had to add this precious one as well.
This is me and Brad after church one Sunday (I believe it was our last of the semester). I just love him. And I miss springtime.
And then this happened! WE GOT ENGAGED!!!!! So much happiness.
And then if that wasn't happy enough, I graduated! Okay...to be honest, I graduated in December 2014, but I had to wait until April to walk. And DeeDee and Papa came all the way to see it!
And of course the graduation cap looked way cuter on Jim.
And then we got to go to the Payson temple open house!
And then we took the classic graduation pictures.
And finally, we made it back to California for the summer. And of course we wasted no time and went to a Dodger game.
